Overview

TalionCalcs ("we", "us", "our") provides free, browser-based financial calculators to help users plan investments, loans and savings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What information we collect

Immediately — nothing by default

By default, TalionCalcs calculators run in your browser. Your inputs and calculation results are processed client-side and are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share them (for example, by emailing results, using a contact form, or signing up for a newsletter).

Automatically collected information

When you visit the site we (and our service providers) may collect limited technical data to provide and improve the site, such as:

• Non-identifying usage data (pages visited, timestamps, browser and device type)
• Standard web server logs (IP address, request headers) — used for diagnostics and abuse prevention

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure site traffic and usage. GA4 collects anonymized usage statistics. We enable IP anonymization (`anonymize_ip`) in GA4. You can opt out by using browser-level tracking protections or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; see the How to control or delete data section.

Contact / voluntary submissions

If you contact us (email or contact form) or submit a request for a calculator, we will retain the information you provide (for example, your email address and message) to respond to your inquiry. If we use a third-party form service, that provider's privacy policy applies to the storage of that data.

Affiliate & referral tracking

We may use affiliate links on some pages. Clicking an affiliate link may send a referral parameter to a third party; that third party's privacy policy governs how they process any information. We disclose affiliate links where they appear.

How we use information

• To operate, maintain and improve the site and calculators.
• To understand usage patterns and measure site performance via analytics.
• To respond to questions, feedback and support requests if you contact us.
• To comply with legal obligations and to protect the security of the site.

Third-party services

We use third-party services for analytics and hosting. These services may collect and process information as described below:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — collects anonymized usage data. Learn more at Google Privacy Policy.
• GitHub Pages — site hosting. GitHub may collect request logs and related data as described in GitHub's privacy policy.
• Affiliate platforms — when you click tracked affiliate links, the affiliate partner may receive referral data.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Cookies & similar technologies

We and our third-party providers use cookies and similar technologies to provide and improve the site. Cookies are small files stored on your device. Types we use:

• Strictly necessary: required for site functionality.
• Analytics: used by GA4 to measure traffic and usage. These are optional and you can opt out (see below).
• Affiliate tracking cookies: set by affiliate partners when you click a tracked link.

If your browser blocks cookies or you decline analytics cookies, the calculators still work — analytics data simply won't be collected for your visit.

How to control or delete data

Opting out of analytics

You can prevent GA4 collection by:

• Using browser privacy tools (e.g., "Do Not Track", privacy extensions).
• Installing Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings.

Request data access or deletion

If you submitted data (for example via email or form) and would like us to provide or delete it, contact us at talioncalcs@gmail.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable timeframe. Note: we may retain non-identifying logs for security and fraud prevention.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the site and stored data. However, no internet service is completely secure. If you believe your interaction with TalionCalcs has been compromised, contact us at talioncalcs@gmail.com immediately.

Children's privacy

TalionCalcs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
